Registered Veterinary Technician

Northlake Veterinary Surgery is three surgeon specialty practice with a primary focus on orthopedic surgery. We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to assist our surgeons and complement our technical team. We are looking for an individual with a desire for hands on surgery exposure, which includes scrubbing into surgery, monitoring anesthesia, and being a critical part of the operating room responsibilities. Candidate should also be someone who enjoys direct client interaction. Our technicians are responsible for client education as well as patient care. Previous surgical specialty experience is not required. We have a great staff, a vibrant work environment, and we genuinely enjoy what we do! Northlake is a unique work atmosphere in the veterinary field. Our hospital is open Monday through Friday. No emergency hours or boarding. The position is 40 hours of work per week (4 day work week with one week day off) and a rotating Saturday morning 2-3 hour shift (1-2 Saturday shifts per month). We are a drug free workplace. Benefits include: Ideal 4 day work week schedule. Minimal rotating weekend responsibility. Negotiable hourly wage based on experience/education. After 3 months of employment: Paid vacation, Paid CE, Paid licensing fees, holiday pay and health benefits (we currently pay 100% of health insurance premiums).

Experienced Veterinary Assistant

Northlake Veterinary Surgery is three surgeon specialty practice with a primary focus on orthopedic surgery. We are seeking an Experienced Veterinary Assistant to complement our surgeons and technicians. We are looking for an individual who wants to be a member of a vibrant team and have a critical part working directly with animals. Responsibilities will include restraining for examination, assisting with sampling and anesthetic induction, also assisting with bandaging, obtaining radiographs, and prepping patients for surgery. Candidate should also be someone who doesn’t mind cleaning and maintaining the working environment. Previous surgical specialty experience is not required, but a minimum of one year of experience in a veterinary setting is preferred. We have a great staff, a fun work environment, and we genuinely enjoy what we do! Northlake is a unique work atmosphere in the veterinary field. Our hospital is open Monday through Friday.
